Update on Restructuring of Regional Investment Incentives②

Merhaba! I am Shun Yoshida from Tokyo Consulting Firm Turkey Office.

This week I will share more detailed information regarding the update on ‘Regional Investment Incentives following to the last week.

Further detailed region categories by cities will be put in place for 53 provinces that have a great internal gap on development status in addition to the region categories which I mentioned in the previous blog.

According to the latest segmentation, not the usual incentive for province which the city belongs to but the one-lower-level region’s incentive will be applied to the business investments for the specific cities mentioned down below. For instance, incentive for Region 2 will be exceptionally applied as to the three cities of Çamlıdere, Bala, Haymana although province of Ankara is categorized as Region 1.

The Regional Investment Incentives will bring about a huge benefit especially for the companies which are considering to invest in manufacturing sector as explained last week as well. One of the most important subjects in this incentive program is the ‘Reduction of Corporate Tax’. For the investments to be made in the manufacturing sector by the end of 2022, the corporate tax reduction support will be applied by adding 15 points to the current rate and the tax deduction rate for each region shall be applied as 100 per cent for the investment expenditures. Therefore, it is significant for the manufacturing companies to fully take advantage of this special benefits so as to make the business in Turkey more successful.

That is all for this week.

We also provide free-of-charge meeting (online/offline) regarding establishment and business development in Turkey including the incentive supports.
