MM2H pass holder are allowed to invest in Malaysia. However, to start a business, MM2H participant may own a business but they are not allowed to conduct a business actively in Malaysia<\/strong>. MM2H participants are allowed to invest in a local company and may even sit on the board of directors<\/strong>, but must not be involved in day-to-day<\/strong> management of the company. They can be non-executive or independent director, which means that they do not run the business actively.<\/strong>
If they intend to run business actively and become an executive director, they need to apply for Pass Penggajian via esd.imi.gov.my. If MM2H participant intends to do business actively, he\/she would need to terminate the MM2H Pass.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
